Fried zucchini first experience with them. Very easy and very tasty! Can do this with pumpkin or any squash flowers. Pull the stamen out and cut stem to about an inch. Rinse in ice water. Dry gently. Depending on the amount of flowers you have.....flour stirred with olive oil and water and Parmesan cheese to make a batter....not to thick.......add s&p and swirl the flowers in the batter and drop delicately, directly into hot oil (about 300-350 degrees) until they float and are crispy. Yep, I will do this again..............I think the batter would be good on any vegetable like zucchini, onion, peppers, etc. Worth trying....oh and sprinkle with sea salt after taking them out of the oil. Crunch away!
